“Compensation makes a real difference in a person’s life. That’s why I stay focused on results.”
James J. Stone was born and raised in Honolulu and attended St. Louis High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Hawaii. In 1976, he graduated as part of the very first class of the University of Hawaii’s William S. Richardson School of Law — and he has practiced in the islands ever since.
For more than thirty years, his practice has centered on serious civil litigation: personal injury, auto and motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. He represents individuals and families — never insurance companies — and takes a limited number of cases so each client receives his personal attention from the first consultation through final resolution.
That focus has produced results, including a $6.2 million verdict for a client paralyzed in a preventable fall and multiple seven-figure settlements for injured Hawaii residents and visitors.
